During his tenure at Bed Bath & Beyond, Rich played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s business from under $1 billion to over $12 billion in revenue, including launching all digital properties, which ultimately grew to more than $1.5 billion in online sales. He also led the company’s international expansion both wholly owned and via a joint venture..
Today, as the founder of cda Ventures LLC, Rich partners with executives, boards, and investors to define growth strategies, drive innovation, and transform operations for sustainable success. His work includes fractional leadership engagements, strategic advisory roles, and customized workshops designed to help companies compete in an era of rapid disruption.
Rich is also a Board Member and Keynote Speaker, sharing insights on topics such as business transformation, retail innovation, and the intersection of digital technology and human leadership.
He began his career at First Boston in investment banking, moved to global CPG with Altria, as a Partner in KPMG's Global Consumer Markets Consulting before transitioning into retail operations and strategy—developing a perspective that uniquely connects financial discipline with consumer-driven growth.
